Xiaomi Mi 9T launched in Europe, Rebadged from Redmi K20

Xiaomi has held the worldwide launch for its new premium smartphone, called Mi 9T. The smartphone is also a rebranding Redmi K20, which Xiaomi has decided to brand under its own label for global markets. The launch took place in Europe, and the naming convention takes a leaf from the books of OnePlus, which so far has been a midlife refresh of its annual flagship with the suffix & # 39; T & # 39; has launched.

The Mi 9T, it is important to note, is not a refresh of the Mi 9 flagship, which was launched in China earlier this year. The launch of Europe, which is considered a global launch, should bring the smartphone to multiple markets in Europe and other continents, although no word has yet been released about when it could come to India. Xiaomi has specifically marketed the Redmi brand in India, a marketing strategy that has benefited the company, given the value-sensitive nature of the market.

In terms of specifications, the Mi 9T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, together with 6 GB of RAM (Xiaomi seems to have reserved the 8 GB version for the time being on the Chinese market). This is accompanied by options for 64GB or 128GB native storage and a 4,000mAh battery that powers the package. At the front, the Mi 9T gets a 6.39-inch AMOLED full HD + screen that covers the entire available area. This is made possible by the mechanism for the front camera, which stores a 20-megapixel sensor in combination with an f / 2.2 lens.

At the rear, the Mi 9T receives a triple camera setting, crowned by a 48-megapixel primary sensor and f / 1.8 lens. The other two camera modules contain an 8-megapixel telecamera with f / 2.4 lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f / 2.4 lens. The smartphone is introduced in three color variants – black, blue and red, which all have different textures on the back to increase the premium appeal.

In Europe, the Mi 9T was launched with € 329 (~ Rs 26,000) for the 64GB version, while the 128GB version is priced at € 369 (~ Rs 29,000). If the smartphone is launched in India, it is expected to be priced at a similar point to challenge fellow OEMs and to arouse interest in the low volume premium torture segment.
