Nottingham: Rain gods were not so good for the ICC Cricket World Cup so far, they washed out two games and threatened to destroy the India vs New Zealand clash on Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
Chance of rain is high in Nottingham, with moderate to heavy rainfall, predicted on Trent Bridge. The match is probably the most affected by rainfall and can even witness a full wash-out or see DLS interfere in the match, at least according to weather forecasts.
Many on social media are picking the rain to win the World Cup, because competitions have been hit.
Harbhajan Singh had the perfect response as he waited on the sidelines prior to the scheduled start of the meeting between India and New Zealand.
"Looks like rain is going to be the winner today, not India, not New Zealand … raining in Nottingham," tweeted Harbhajan.
Joke is doing the rounds … By the way, the threat of continued showers in Nottingham has fallen from 80% to 10% for the second half of the day that I understand. So India v NZ may not be a total wash out pic.twitter.com/3hEV4bZFij

Subject: Dry day
Dear Lord Indra (Nottingham branch)
You have worked over the past few days.
Take a day off today.
An Indian cricket fan.

Super Soppers will have to work overtime to dry the outside field, as Nottingham has not seen a glimpse of the sun since Monday.
If rain eliminates the game on Thursday, Team India will be hit more than New Zealand, as the Black Caps have already registered three wins from their first three games.
India, on the other hand, has only two games and will not have to lose any of the following three games to qualify for the semi-finals.
